One More Year, One More Name

This year will mark my 5th year participating in the Run of Hope Seattle. Each year I fill out an "In Honor of" card, to wear during the race, with the names of all the people I have met and friends I have made who have had pediatric brain cancer. It seems like every year there is a new name to add. This year it is Jimmy, a 12 year-old boy who is currently undergoing treatment.

Jimmy should have spent his summer on the baseball field with his little league team and should be getting ready to start school with his friends instead of spending most of his days at the hospital.

This is  why I am still fighting. This is why Dr.Olson's research is so important. This is why it is imperative that we continue to fund research to find better treatments with fewer side effects. We can do this by contributing to the Run of Hope Seattle

So that kids like: Me, Ivy, Andy, Stephanie, Brooke, Gillian, Keaton, Max, Jack, Ben and Jimmy spend fewer days in the hospital and more days playing and hanging out with friends, going to school, being home with our families and doing all the other things kids do.

Please help  us by contributing to the 2015 Run of Hope Seattle!

The Run of Hope is:

Sunday September 27th at 10 AM

2015 Run of Hope Seattle

Hi Blobslayers!

hope you are all enjoying your summer! And what comes at the end of summer? The Run of Hope Seattle supporting pediatric brain tumor research at Seattle Children's Hospital, of course!

The research being done at Seattle Children's Hospital helped save my life and now it is my turn to give back and help future patients receive better treatments with fewer side effects.

Please join me in supporting this vital research by joining me at Seward Park in Seattle on Sunday September 27th for a 5k run/3K walk OR by sponsoring my team, Sammy's Blobslayers!

This year it is my goal for Sammy's Blobslayers to raise $6,000 to celebrate that I have been CANCER FREE for 6 YEARS!!!

Please help me celebrate this important milestone by supporting Pediatric Brain Tumor Research.
